How DOES My Garden Grow?

Did you know that I had a garden? No? Well, neither did I. But today, while pulling weeds in the front yard (always fun on such a blazing hot day), I found something that looked suspiciously like a vegetable. Since I don't really eat vegetables, I had a hard time identifying this mysterious food. It looked to me like something I recall my mother forcing me to eat as a child, but I can't be sure.

Laura could not have been more thrilled at the discovery, although she was HORRIFIED when I used "Daddy's tool!" to cut open our bounty. How rude of me to use the Army Man's box cutter. There they are, in all their glory, the fruits (or vegetables, as it were) of my top-secret garden. I would really be thrilled if there were also some healthy and fully cooked dinners out there just waiting to be harvested.

that's so cool! do you think you'll find anything else? my vote is for strawberries, but of course, those are more obvious and you probably would have found them by now. ;)

I guess that's where the last occupant's kid has been hiding their veggies.
Did you eat it?

Man, strawberries would be awesome! Maybe I should stop hoping they will miraculously grow and just plant someone myself.

And no, I did not consume those peas. They are my MOST hated vegetable, and I saw Moxie pee in the front yard at one point this week, so I wasn't taking any chances :)

Wow- secret peas. I bet Pig in Pearls Before Swine could come up with one of those wierd says of his using your peas. I wonder if Pig will get swine flu?

Maybe you could throw the peas in someone else's yard and spread the love.

It is seriously crazy, I was outside a little bit ago, attempting to "dethatch" my yard (which is really hard work, btw) and those peas are EVERYWHERE!! I guess all of the previous kids who lived here really didn't like peas (can't say I blame them though).

I am laughing about poor Pig, he probably will get the swine flu. Poor guy never saw it coming.
